(a) The Pacific Centred map shows Australia and the Pacific nations in the centre of the map and is the popular choice for Australians.

(b) The Europe & Africa Centred map shows Europe and Africa in the centre of the map with Australia to one side.

Peters Projection World Map

The Peters World is one where the entire globe is evenly distrubuted onto a flat surface. Each latitude / longitude grid square is of equal proprtions whereas the standard way of portraying the World has the grid lines wider at the equator then narrowing and lengthening towards the poles.
