| TJM Megastore at 27 Baldwin Avenue, Geelong is owned and operated by the well-known Sparkes Brothers, who have sold 4WD and trailer accessories in the district for several decades. Their newly established Megastore is packed with useful items of interest to four-wheel drivers and caravanners. They also have a large map display with maps covering 4WD destinations around Australia. The store is situated in Baldwin Avenue, behind Godfreys, opposite the Ford Motor Co, just off the Princes Highway on the Melbourne side of Geelong. |

Barry Sparkes (pictured above), one of the owners of TJM Megastore in Geelong recently took part in an expedition from Victoria, through remote parts of Central Australia, to the Gulf of Carpentaria. Sections of the expedition were through virtually trackless country where very few, if any, 4WDs had been before them. Going was slow but the spirit of adventure made everything worthwhile. | ||

Progress was better when the expedition found well defined tracks. |

A very small but significant peg passed by the expedition marks a boundary between the states of Northern Territory and Queensland. |
| Like Burke and Wills before them, their destination was the Gulf of Carpentaria, but unlike Burke and Wills, this expedition was successful in reaching the actual coastline, and what a great feeling it was.
