	Jamieson fits snugly into the valley at the junction of the Goulburn and Jamieson Rivers. The General Store is a good starting point and supply stop for a touring, fishing, camping or exploratory trip into the region. They also have plenty of local maps and books to choose from. Make sure you obtain a copy of 'Ghost Towns of the Mountain Goldfields' before venturing further into the Upper Goulburn Region.
	The main street is nearly always quiet and still retains some character from days gone by. Visit the Museum in the Court House for the interesting story of Jamieson's golden days.
	Along the road to Woods Point, at about 17 kilometres from Jamieson, you will come to this most interesting old bush pub which dates back to the gold mining era.
	There's sure to be another fish just like this one in either of the rivers, or the lake near Jamieson township.
