ALL THINGS OFF-ROAD

Wagga Wagga

 NOW AT NEW PREMISES:

Unit 1/33 Pearson Street
Wagga Wagga NSW 2650

All Things Off Road is just as its name suggests; - a shop where you will find everything for the 4WD off-road enthusiast, including a wide range of accessories, services plus Wagga Wagga's largest range of topographic and touring maps.

Although Wagga Wagga is surrounded predominantly by rural land and private property, there are a surprising number of great 4WD destinations not too far away including the Snowy Mountains and Upper Murray regions. This shot is taken at Talmalmo on the long, but very scenic gravel road which follows the New South Wales bank of the Murray River between Albury and Khancoban. This area is about a one and a half hour drive from Wagga Wagga.

Closer to Wagga is the spectacular rocky hill known simply as 'The Rock'. A township at the base of the hill is also known as 'The Rock'. While this is not a 4WD destination, it is a quite an adventure to climb the rock via a fairly strenuous 3 kilometre / 3 hour walking trail.
At Wagga Wagga, in a suburban setting, is the popular Lake Albert where locals and tourists enjoy walking, picnicking and water-sports.

Travel Tip

For an interesting drive on a quiet back road, try the road from Wagga Wagga to Gundagai via Oura, Wantabadgery and Nangus. About 20 kilometres from Wagga Wagga, look for a turnoff to the Oura River Reserve on a beautiful stretch of the Murrumbidgee River, with a great little beach. Camping is allowed and it also makes a good picnic or rest stop for day visitors.
