With the growing use of in-car navigation, Hema Maps has produced a collection of raster maps on DVD. The DVD is based on images of Hema's regional maps and is compatible with most windows based navigational programs.

If the user has a GPS, laptop or personal organiser and a matching navigational program such as OziExplorer, or a program that can recognise ECW or OZF2 formatted files, then the Australia 4WD DVD will provide in-car navigation.

The DVD also contains a complete gazetteer as well as all the text and photographic information from the Hema regional maps at the click of an easy to locate menu button.

Note: Hema maps on the DVD are supplied in both ECW and OZF2 formats. Geoscience topographic maps are supplied in ECW format only. ECW is compatible with OziExplorer mapping software.

Software on this disk is compatible with Windows-based PCs as well as Macs runnning Virtual PC. The maps are also compatible with all ECW-compatible GPS / GIS software.
