The Australian Alps Walking Track leads from Walhalla in Victoria to Canberra, traversing some of Australia's highest peaks and ridges along the way. The entire track is remote from civilisation and passes through a mix of dense forest, windswept treeless ridges and deep mountain valleys. It is a serious track for serious bushwalkers.
