Features include Geological Structure, Mineral Deposits including gold locations and mining symbols (abandoned and current) as well as grey base topographic features.

Topographic detail is a bit hard to follow and it is advised to supplement these maps with the 1:250,000 topogaphic maps.

Each Geological 1:250,000 map has an equivalent topographic title.

The WA Geological map series is a good series for both the serious and casual prospector.

The maps carry all the features of the 1:250,000 scale maps but with better 'pin-point' accuracy and increased information in areas with a density of detail.

They are also more up to date and show even more mining features than the smaller scale series.

Highly recommended for the serious prospector.
