This booklet is a collection of personal memories of the author and stories of Tasmania in the 1920s, 1930, and 1940s. Nita Lawes was a happy carefree child of the thirties in rural north east Tasmania, when bullocks worked on farm land and the bush was selectively logged so that saw mills provided work for more than one generation. A time when the steam train was the lifeline of those scattered communities and the good old days meant more than having a good time.
