The Killer Whales of Twofold Bay For almost 100 years the same pack of killer whales returned to Eden's Twofold Bay on the south coast of New South Wales. They would assist fishermen during the winter whaling season by herding whales into the bay and attracting the attention of the local whalemen. The killers would be rewarded with the dead whale's tongue and lips. The killers became a local legend and the fishermen, who knew each one by it's individual characteristics, dubbed them with distinctive names such as Stranger, Humpy and Old Tom.
