The CSIRO Soils Series was developed during the 1970s as a  series of compact booklets packed with relevant information and illustrations.

This particular booklet has been reprinted on nine occasions since it was firts published in 1978. It describes all the nutrient elements needed for healthy plant growth in an easy to understand format without complexities, so that gardeners and farmers can provide their plants with an adequate and balanced diet in the cheapest possible way.
