Walks are graded as easy, medium and hard and all are circuits or retraces, to facilitate transport and access. There is also a walk which requires camping for those desiring extended walks.

Coverage extends from cape Tribulation in the north through Chillagoe caves and Porcupine Gorge near Hughenden to Cape Hillsborough near Mackay in the south. (See index map below). There are also walks on seven Great barrier Reef islands including Hinchinbrook's Thorsborne Trail.

Each walk includes distance, time, best season, grade and a sketch map.
