FIELD GUIDE TO FROGS OF AUSTRALIA

By Martin Robinson

Field Guide to Frogs of Australia

South-Eastern Australia

Coverage is from Port Augusta to Fraser Island including Tasmania. The book contains background information, colour photographs, distribution maps, descriptions, calls and habitat of around 100 different frogs.

The concept was developed from a Frog Watch Program involving schools and amateur herpetologists (frog observers?). Frogs are not only important elements in many food chains valuable to humans, they are also good environmental indicators, especially of water quality. Their health, abundance and distribution are linked to the levels of pesticides and other toxins in wet ecosystems.

The field guide includes colour photographs, distribution maps, descriptions, calls, habitat etc.

Soft laminated cover. 112 pages. 2007 Reprint. ISBN 9781876334833. RRP $24.95
